  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • ½ cup bell pepper (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (diced)
  • 1 packet chili seasoning mix
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  2. Stir in chili seasoning mix, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and kidney beans. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Add uncooked macaroni directly into the chili mixture and cover until tender.
  4. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add heavy cream and milk until smooth; stir in mustard powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and hot sauce.
  5. Combine the cheese sauce with the chili mixture until creamy; fold in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
