  • 2 large eggs, divided

  • 1 tablespoon chai spice blend
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 heaping cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • pinch of kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, chai spice blend, and salt. Pulse briefly.
  3. Add chilled butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Mix together cream and eggs; add to dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Shape dough into a disc, chill for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out dough and cut into wedges or triangles. Place on prepared baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20–22 minutes until golden brown; let cool before glazing.
  8. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, cream, maple syrup, and salt until smooth; dip scone tops in glaze.
